My camera decided not to behave today, after the praise I showered on it last time, so really just a few close ups. My mum bought this necklace from UO about 5 years ago (what is it with mums having amazing style?), it was a one off thing hanging on a mannequin. I've wanted it ever since, and finally last year I was allowed to nab it. I think my mum is worse than me when it comes to discarding clothes and jewellery, but this time I was more than happy to reap the benefits :D
Tomorrow I'm off for a spot of bowling for a friend's birthday at the All Star Lanes in Bloomsbury which should be fun, although I think I'm pretty rubbish. I feel like I should dress up a little- this particular friend used to work for Christian Louboutin and YSL, and now works full time for her own company ( Baartmans and Siegel), set up with her boyfriend, and she's only turning 24! They do menswear and what wouldn't I give to dress D in some of that! Slick, sharp tailoring, interesting textures and shapes, yes please.
D will be at his cousin's surprise party. It's funny we've been doing different things for the past few nights (me out, him in, or vice versa or both out somewhere different) which we don't usually do that much, mainly as he has few friends to socialise with, which is often a sticking point with us.
As for Mr Bwackums- yet another vet visit as things weren't clearing up, yet another £180 bill and still no answers! Apparently he could still either have an infection, or irritable bowel syndrome, or an inflamed intestine or worst of all, some sort of lymphoma. He had a geriatric blood test (yes, they call it that) so we'll have to wait and see.
I'm on D's laptop and found this photo. This is Bwackums' mummy- Twiggy (she was immaculate, always pristine clean, with a fiery temper and slightly mad)- from whom Bwackums gets his good looks. She only died last June. (God, I feel like I could talk about cats all night..)
Your whole outfit is lovely! The necklace in particular is really cute, mums definitely have great style! xx
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit! :) Your tights and socks are so cute together :)
ReplyDeleteMe and my boyfriend are the same, he works a lot and we must only see each other for a few hours at night if I wait up, or when we occassionally have the same day off hah.
Hope you enjoy yourself with your friends :D xxx
Love the ruffle skirt and your lovely polka dot tights! I've actually been on the hunt for some of these now that it's getting colder, I love how cute they are.
ReplyDeleteHope you have fun bowling, the only thing I don't like about bowling is that you can't wear your own shoes and have to wear gross hire ones :P My boyfriend and I do social things seperately too, he has his group of friends and I have my group of friends so when we socialize it's never together.
Oh I adore your necklace! Very nice, and bowling sounds like such fun, I have not gone bowling in ages and ages.

I love that necklace, I'm not much of a jewelry wearer (especially big, bold pieces such as that) but I LOVE seeing them on others! P.S. I've moved here: http://unicorngirl-jhordyn.blogspot.com/
