Blazer: Topshop// Trousers: Topshop// T shirt: Urban Outfitters// Sandals: Topshop

I know I look a bit like a moody teenager here, this is my attire for another family barbecue- last time nearly wearing suspenders, this time pleather trousers. It was slightly sunny and then very chilly, and today it's barely stopped raining- lovely June weather.
The hair looks ok here but it kept falling out so I kept shoving more pins in it until at around 10 pm I couldn't be bothered anymore and took it all out- #hairstyle fail. And I know the ring (Topshop biensur) is a clear imitation of the YSL Arty ring, but I can't afford that so this is second best.
Me and D are moving out of our flat on the 8th of July, and as the date approaches I'm starting to feel more odd about it. We may need a break, or may not. I want to be helping my mum and so on, but being under the same roof (a VERY small roof as the flat is TINY) will not be easy at all, and I know I'll feel about 17 again. Also I really can't be bothered moving, again. I have far too much clutter..

  1. Love the outfit :) unfortunately we're still requiring layers for barbecues!
And I know - what is with the rain?! Not impressed,

  5. Ah, I know how it is when hairstyles fail, I've somewhat given up and either wear it down and unruly or in a bin atop my head. My mother does, at times, like to attempt rather elaborate braids and such and it always works out then, she is quite talented with hair. Lovely outfit as well!

    xx and hugs

  7. Your hair looks so wonderful, when I try it it fails dramatically due to my layers! Your blazers really sweet and thank you greatly for the ebay suggestion, I'll have a good nose on there and see if anything pops up close by! :)

  8. Best wishes for the move. Your outfit is moody in a good way. x

  9. I think we have related hair. Mine is awful at staying up in styles too. There are only so many pins you can jab in your head before it all seems like too much faff!

Thanks muchly for the link to the brownie recipe :)

The London book is called London Lore by Steve Roud. Bit repetitive in places (cos he discusses topics by location rather than by topic, if that makes sense?) but it was really interesting - ghosts, folklore, legends, all sorts of fascinating stuff.

  12. Love the coat and your pants. Gah I hate bad hair days, my fancy dos always seem to fall apart as I have quite thick, layered hair. Hope moving goes well.

Oh and I just noticed you added me to your link list. Thank you so much :D I would love to have tea with you too!

  13. Love your hair like this, well worth the efort of sticking in more pins.
Moving is the best excuse to declutter and make some extra cash from Ebay sales.
Don't even get me started on the weather - so depressing. xxx

  14. I'm still a HUGE fan of the blazer/legging look, so therefore am loving your look :)

and yeah I hate it when hairstyles go wrong. Hence why my hair's nearly always down, more simpler that way!!

  21. I haven't been to one barbeque yet this year - how rubbish is that!?

Thank you for your comment on my blog - I have finally worked out how to post. Well actually, I haven't solved anything - my blog's still screwed according to my laptop & computer, but I managed to publish my post via my phone - so that's something at least, yay :)

  27. The ring is so nice! I'm pretty sure it goes great rather than going all out and spending all your savings on a designer ring. No matter how lovely it'd be to possess these things, it's good to be sensible about your spending! Nice outfit too! I love Topshop, and your blazer is amazing! xx

  28. I'm so jealous of the bbq action! Your hair looks really cute like that :)

  29. You don't look like a moody teenages and besides, there is nothing wrong with looking like on ;) I can empathise with your failed hair style, many a time have I just given up (and normally waaaay before 10pm), your hair looks great though, very chic. By the looks of your ring it looks fantastic! Who cares if it's 'second best' I just wish you had a proper close up to show it in all its glory.

  48. I love that T-Shirt. Urban Outfitters does the nicest printed T-Shirts around at the moment in my opinion. I just wish I could afford more haha.
I really want a pair of those Topshop leather trousers too but I'd also need to get myself a pair of killer pins like yours first :P xx
