Dress: Topshop (old)//Satchel: Dorothy Perkins//Shoes: UO (sale)

I'm glad everyone enjoyed my boss' delightful little email. So only 5 days to go now. I am starting to get a little apprehensive about the impending job hunt, even if there are a couple of little things I can be tinkering with as I look. I'm most worried about losing my sanity, sat at home on my own (with the cat at least), but hopefully that won't happen. It can be hard to stay motivated when you're alone, and feel isolated compared to everyone else going out, having a life, working 9-5..
If all else fails I will go to Mexico for a few weeks and hang out with one of best friends. Or join my mum who will hopefully be going back to France mid September (last chemo treatment on the 31st of this month!)

  2. I love the 70's flavour!! My friend lost her job during the GFC and was unemployed for a year...she said she did go insane :( But after the GFC she got an even better job before and now earns double what she used to make and her life couldn't be better! :)

  3. Very cute outfit, especially the shoes! Going to Mexico or France doesn't sound like a bad way to spend your time.

  4. You'll be fine. I've just had 6 weeks of no school/work. The first week was terrible, then I just got into the 'not doing anything' groove. Just enjoy it and don't beat yourself up about not doing enough.

  5. Love your flower child look! Maybe you could just take a break from everything and relax for a while...maybe I'm just lazy but I looove sitting at home and chilling haha. The main thing is that you're leaving those bastards, that's what counts!

  6. Good luck for the job hunt. Leaving a job is scary - I had a boss with the level of respect for staff that yours seems to, and leaving was the best thing I ever did!
I've ended up volunteering because I couldn't find a job, and it's surprisingly rewarding (despite the lack of salary).

  7. I think a break would be nice for you, before you embark on a new chapter in your life. Best of luck finding a job! What a nice outfit, I love the lace detail at the top!

  15. I'm sure the job hunt will go well! I have bee self employed for 8 months and the biggest challenge is definitely to keep yourself motivated when you have nobody to do positive reinforcement for you and. I find that setting smaller and bigger goals on different time scale helps feeling like we get thing done and are on top of it.

Then again, going to Mexico sounds pretty good too!
