Dress worn as skirt: UO//Top: Forever 21// Boots (big love): Topshop//Necklace: Temporary Secretary//Bag and sunnies: Primark
I really liked this outfit- but I think it looks better in the flesh than in photos. The weather's been sweltering and luckily both me and D had a day off on Wednesday, which started with an Ikea delivery (finally, a bed)- they came half an hour before they said they would, D was in the shower, I had to go and answer in my PJs, not the most dignified of looks and the Ikea man definitely sniggered. We spent a nice afternoon on the heath, being hugely middle class with baguette, three different types of cheeses and still lemonade. However we came back and still had the bed to put together.
I'm calling the incident bedgate from now on. I really liked the bed we chose (Lillesand model for those who want to know- black wrought iron) but as soon as we put it together (frustration in itself as anyone who's put an Ikea item together well knows), I realised it was far too big for our small bedroom, so big it looks ridiculous in fact. Also, it's a big double, and our mattress is the smaller double, meaning there is a gap where you could fall onto the slats. Obviously now we've put the thing together there's no taking it back to Ikea. I've cried, so now I can only laugh. Three weeks of waiting for the delivery, and this is the result. Hint: Anyone in the London area care for a bed?
So this weekend we'll be trekking to Ikea for a smaller, less grand double bed. Yay.
