French Life, Part II
Cardigan and Blouse: Vintage//Bag: Primark//Jeans: Topshop//Shoes: UO
Sorry, this is a bit of a photo heavy post, but I wanted to get everything into one final one. Here we have an outfit with the Jaeger cardigan (€5!) and blouse also from Emmaus (€2). I'm on the main "street" of the village, the light isn't too good as I think the sun had already set.
Anyway more interesting than me are the kitties, Gracie (tortoise shell) and Toffee (ginger) who barely sit still long enough for a photo. Generally they chase each other around the house and play fight, with the odd five minute breather! They're obsessed with each other and don't really engage too much with humans yet or come over when you call to them.
I only took a few photos of inside the house (there's still a lot to be done to it, and plenty of spiders lurking) but you can sort of see the style my mum is going for with her mixture of rustic, vintage items. I love her collection of mostly nautical ornaments with the cockerel always sitting at a jaunty angle (he holds up a radio aerial with his other foot). I forgot to get a photo of my mum's room which is pretty perfect- a skylight above her bed to count the stars, vintage furniture and prints, a rocking chair and an en suite..
I got back Sunday night from D's sister's wedding in Shropshire. We had perfect weather and gorgeous surroundings in Rowton Castle. It was emotional, and fun, but I'm glad to be home. Photos to come...
