Stylish Old Lady
Dress: vintage//Belt: vintage//Shoes and Bag: Topshop//Cape: H&M
I bought this dress in France from the huge thrift warehouse Emmaus, for about €6. It's an awful length normally- too long for midi, not long enough for maxi, but due to the elasticated waistband (no doubt formerly accommodating an old woman's formidable bosom) I've managed to fold it underneath itself- easy altering, no sewing required. Anyway, the formidable old lady who no doubt owned this dress beforehand was clearly bang on trend with the lovely burgundy colour, and the collar detailing. Of course I snapped it up.
I've just got back from a huge meal with D's family.
My mum is home for a week so I hope to see a lot of her, in between all her social engagements and hospital appointments.
Nothing Halloween-ish going on here, to make up for it here are a couple of photos of D's brother's girlfriend's (phew) art exhibition, happening at 5 Fournier Street (near Brick Lane).
