[It's just taken me over an hour and a half to get any photos uploaded, I hate when technology makes you tear your hair out (imageshack I hate you)]
I've just come back from a lovely day in Portsmouth, where I met an old friend from Uni. We swapped stories and caught up on where our lives have taken us (we graduated June 2009 and haven't met in person since). She's now engaged to be married in February and has become a practising Muslim, wearing the hijab (when we were at uni she didn't). It's funny how you can reconnect with someone when you've been apart from so long (we were housemates in final year).
My mum has been given the all clear! So relieved, the scan came up clear. It was probably down to a little cold she had and the blood test picking up on it. So she's flying back to France tomorrow! I'll miss her lots but very happy of course! :)
Going to the Motel Rocks Event tomorrow, little bit scared! I can be quite awkward and shy (read: barely say a word) with big groups of new people so, if you see me please don't think I'm a retard. I am a bit but y'know.
PS: I'd love to have more people in my friends/sponsors section so email me if you want to do a button exchange. (andiavaswen at aol.com)
This looks like a lot of fun, thank you for sharing the photos with us!! Catching up with friends is alllways fun
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you're mums okay.

ReplyDeleteI'll be at the Motel event tomorrow too, working for the Motel team! I can be super awkward too, so we can be awkward together (: Don't be a stranger!

I'm so glad to hear your mum is ok :). Don't worry I am going to the motel event tomorrow too. I'm not the most confident and can be super shy around large groups of people, but luckily you are going so at least I will know you there :). I love these pictures, especially the one of the boat. It's weird how you can not see someone for ages and then just get on like you see them everyday the next time you see them. xo
ReplyDeleteyour photos are always so beautiful. that little tea room looks so cute and homely :) sounds like you had a lovely day, it's always so nice to be reunited with someone you haven't seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteso glad and relieved for you and your mum :D
