Ring and nail varnish: Topshop. I love this metallic colour at the moment (it's quite a pain to remove though).

Attempting a fishtail braid, relatively tricky as I still have quite short layers in. You can't tell too much but I chopped bits of my hair off at the front. I might hack more off, I'm not sure yet. Do I want to go back to having a fringe or not?
I finally did some more watercolours, not very good but I like just doing simple things.

This is my 100th post! It's been emotional.

  1. Happy 100th post! I am so jealous of your fish tail braid. I really want to try this but have far too short layers. Love metalics nails at the moment too.
The feather picture is gorgeous, I never knew you painted. You should show more of your stuff.
    YES to the fringe!! xx

  2. I like the fishtail braid, I wish I were more experimental with my hair, I barely do anything with it. I like you with a fringe (I think in some of your first posts you had one), but I like you without one too, I guess it depends if you want a change or not :). The watercolour painting is really good, I wasn't aware that you painted either. Happy 100th post. xo

  5. Happy 100th post gorgeous! :)

Love the fish tail braid, you're right, layers can be a pain when it comes to styling your hair sometimes!

Beatiful painting as well! I wish I could be this creative. :) xx

  6. "Congratulations and celebrations bah dum de dum" as once said by the great Cliff. I don't really know the rest of the words to the chorus... Good effort on the fishtail, I tried once but my layers pissed me off so I stopped... xxxxx

  7. I love fishtail braid, and indeed its hard if you have layer, I should say goodbye to long fishtail braid for awhile, and about fringe think about it, it takes a very long to grow it out, at least it is for me.
by the way love your lipstick, totally adore the color xx

  12. I am loving your watercolours!! You're clearly talented. Although I am an artist, I can't watercolour- it always ended up an awful mess!

Fishtails is partly the reason I am desperately keeping my hair long. However since I saw Emma Watson in the magz and she looks gorge with that pixie cut, indecisiveness here I come!!

Congrats with 100posts :D I got 100 twitter followers and I don't know whether to get excited or not?! Haha.

  13. Aw happy 100th post! Your watercolor is gorgeous...that was always the medium I had the hardest time with in art class at school.

I love the fishtail. I can't get my hair in one for the life of me.

Thanks so much for you sweet condolence. It warmed my heart and brightened my day:)

  14. that plait looks gorgeous! man I wish my hair was long enough to do interesting things to it :( had it all cut off about 2 years ago and I'm still growing it!!
Love the nail varnish and ring, they're beautiful :)
Your watercolour work is amazing!! I love painting with watercolours, they have a real 'free' feel to them and create some lovely effects :)

  16. Congrats on the 100 posts! I love watercolors and although I'm not very good they are great fun. You look to have an oval face so you're lucky in the sense that you can wear just about any hair style you like and get away with it. I think a fringe would emphasize your eyes quite nicely, especially if you wanted to ever do any smokier eye looks. If you wanted to keep a softer look, I would definitely skip going back to a fringe as your hair looks very lovely as it is.

  25. Nice braid! That's a lot better than I could do. I can't even curl my hair.

Oh, and that painting? It's amazing. So simple, but so lovely. I want your skillz. Now.

  26. You must be crazy, that water color is BEAUTIFUL! I am sooo bad at those. I remember when I used to have to do them in school and I would always just use too much water, things would run together, and a whole would develop in my paper. Lame. Yours is NOT lame. I love it.

  27. I have been trying to grow out my fringe for months now, it is finally at that point of extreme akwardness where you have no clue what to do with it, but I won't give up haha (that's what barettes are for after all). Lovely painting dearest, I too quite enjoy the simple things, I really must break out my watercolour kit and have at it. I really love the photograph of the tea cup, and the background is lovely, is that Cath Kidston? Great post sweetling!

    xx

P.S. Your letter is on its way and also your new header is more than perfect!

  32. Oh gosh, I'm so jealous of people who are visually creative. I just get flustered when faced with paint and stuff. I just stick to cheering crayon rainbows over my essay notes.
