Check out my granny fingers (quoth D, thanks)

Skirt and Shoes: Topshop//Bag: Primark//Jumper: Gap (men)//Necklace: Temporary:Secretary//Rings: Ebay and H&M

101st post and a Room 101- my mum had her routine blood tests last week along with the top up treatment, and one of the tests has come back abnormal, she needs to have a scan Monday or Tuesday. We don't know what it is. It could be a virus, or an infection (although she feels fine), or there is a small (but it's possible) chance that It.Is.Back. (non-hogkins lymphoma) Needless to say, she's emotional and in turmoil and we're both super worried. And she's missing her kitties (obvs). So that's put a downer on things. But fingers crossed and all that.

Hoping to see some fireworks tonight, although the displays seem to be few and far between in London unless you live slightly out (Battersea, Enfield, Blackheath, Richmond etc). So we might head to Hampstead Heath and see what we can see...

  4. delightful as ever rachel, you make me so jealous of your wardrobe/style/general appearance.

good luck to your mum, i know how it feels as my mum has recently went through similar and i know how agonising and crippling it can feel, especially when there isn't much you can physically do. it's so so clear that you're there to support her and join her in her worry though and that's the best thing. keep both of your chins up and we shall all keep our fingers crossed.

meanwhile, you know where i am if you do want to rant away at an outside person. xxx

  41. I'm sorry to hear this bad news about your mums recovery, every time I read about your mums treatment it makes me nervous about my mother...even though we don't really speak, but I'm sure you know what I mean...

Your little bag is just so lovely, I wish the stores where I live had such good things. You seem to be able to find such a wide range of goodies at Primark, I wish there was one where I live!
Omg, as for the season finale of Downton, ohhhhhhhhh I was so happy (well you know which part particularly, I don't want to spoil it for the other people who haven't seen it yet!) but sad too... I just wish that it wasn't a whole year now until the next season :( :(

  51. A few things:
    1. I hope it just ends up being a small virus & your mother stays safe & healthy.
    2. Granny hands? I don't see it. But I always pay myself out for having "baby gorilla" hands as the insides of my hands are insanely wrinkled :p
    3. I love the bright blue colour in these shots.
