Here are some more random snaps from Prague- we walked up the big hill in Mala Strana, went round the mirror maze and took in the views, had ice cream (Mojito flavour), saw the John Lennon wall and the little bridge over to an island where couples seem to lock in their love. We also visited the Communist museum which was fascinating- complete with a chronological run down of Communist rule, artefacts, statues, a little film and recreations of classrooms, a butchers and an interrogation room. Sunday we visited the Jewish museum- the cemetery where people were buried twelve deep, the Pinkas Synagogue where the 80,000 names of Bohemia and Moravia Jews who died in the Holocaust have been painstakingly hand written (twice as the Communists defaced it), the Spanish Synagogue with beautiful artefacts and little snapshots of Jewish family life in the 1700's..
In another post I'll mention some of the great places we went to eat (and the one to avoid).
