London Fashion Weekend- a last hurrah after the flurry and excitement of LFW. Also, quite average. It was lovely to win tickets, though Tach and I couldn't see any of the catwalk shows, only shop. I was expecting to fall in a love with a ridiculously expensive (though slightly reduced in price) designer item, however this didn't happen, and after an hour of ambling around Somerset House and being jostled near the Marc Jacobs stand, we left, braved the rain and headed to Topshop.

After a hearty lunch and very soggy shoes we headed home for tea, cosy socks and A Little Princess (not quite as good as I remembered from going to see it at the cinema aged nine, probably a bit too American. Think The Secret Garden remains the favourite Frances Hodgson Burnett book and film adaption).

  2. Gorgeous pictures...you look super against that back drop. I love The Secret Garden & The Little Princess, but it isn't as good as I remember, though I still watch it :) x

  3. I adore the Secret Garden! I had the book and I used to watch the film over and over. The moment she finds the key in her mum's mini set of drawers is my absolute favourite...and then opening that door. Oh I love it and you make me want to watch it right away!

I've always wondered about LFW weekend, my sister went to it last year but she didn't really buy anything either!

  11. First off, you look lovely and your time seems very London-esque. I miss that. Also, The Little Princess was one of my favorites as a child. The imagination of the story (also in Secret Garden) seemed to take over my life. I was an only child, what can I say? xoxoxxx

  16. Ah I remember when I went to London Fashion Weekend, lots of being pushed around and I paid way too much for a vest that faded in the wash :) Still, I always love a trip to Sommerset House!

(love the outfit by the way, the jumper is awesome!)

  17. Oh I used to love a little princess! Although I could never fathom how all those treats managed to get into her room whilst she was sleeping.

  19. I was obsessed with The Secret Garden as a kid :)

I love this look, they layering is perfect & your pearl collar finishes it off beautifully!

Sometimes I wonder if people buy designer garments more because they like the status rather than the actual garments, don't get me wrong if money grew on trees I be right in there but sometimes it's just not practical.

  25. I really love that top. I love watching fashion week from afar but have never been myself. I've heard a lot of people say it wasn't particularly exciting, compared to other seasons, this time round, though.

  26. You have chosen one groovy backdrop for your outfit posts! Cannot believe that pearl collar is from Primark - looks top notch!

Those balloons are really pretty too, especially the ones with the confetti inside! Glad your time there was a good one and high five to braving the crappy weather!

  29. That's a shame you didn't enjoy London Fashion Weekend so much. I went on the last day of it once and items had been further reduced so I got some good bargains. Did you buy anything lovely in Topshop? xx
