Yes this isn't exactly pool party weather, though the weekend has been fairly mild (such a typical British thing to say, yes it's mild out, how nice). It's the name of the Topshop nail varnish I bought, and I've cunningly hidden my nails in all these photos so you can't even see it, so the link is rather tenuous. Hint: it's a similar colour to my satchel and jumper (ish).

Saturday I volunteered in a charity shop which involved me steaming a lot of clothes, admiring some of the items in the soon to exist vintage section and marvelling at how people can give a charity shop one shoe, one glove and a jumper with holes in.

Handily the local Christmas Market was being held at the end of the street so I managed to sort my Secret Santa present and a couple of stocking fillers too. Only two weeks of work to go!

  4. That jumper is a beautiful shade of blue and I am very envious of your coat! And working in a charity shop must be interesting I think, see what stuff other people think is "trash." I want cheap vintage goodies!

  12. That coat looks so snuggly and warm :)

Seriously? People give one shoe or one glove?

I like steaming, it's not as arduous as ironing.

  13. HAHA I must confess I've given lots of pairs of odd socks to charities before (I was just so keen to get rid of them). Love all the different shades of blue/teal!

  18. You've got me thinking that a winter pool party, all wrapped up against the crisp minus-something temperatures would be perfect for a day like today. Preferably by a lake, or failing that, by a frozen garden pond, with a warming barbecue!

  22. Yes! What is it with people bringing charity shops (or goodwills) nasty stained up, ripped up, old items? I never understood that either.

I love the blue on blue here. I've never tried this combo up colors but I surely want to now! So pretty Rachel!

  23. We are both loving blue, eh?? Great minds, hehehhehhe.
If I worked in a Charity shop I would buy everythin, ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
I know the sort of things people give away rather than put it in the bin.

  24. Love this outfit, the colours are so lovely! I'm really fussy about what I give to charity, I don't want to give them useless tat! Mad that people do, do they really think people will buy it? Haha xxx

  26. Oh, I am in LOVE with the colour of your sweater! And you totally rock those jeans! This outfit is amazing :) I'm thinking about volunteering at a charity store these holidays -- although I'd probably end up snapping up all the vintage things and my saving will be in peril haha!
