On Regents Street

At the moment Regents Street is shut to most traffic as they repair a water main or something, so it seemed like a good idea to pose for outfit photos in the middle of the road, surrounded by people. It's funny but if you take photos on the end of your street people will definitely wonder what you're up to (and boyfriend is less than willing), but once you're somewhere central and touristy, outfit photos can pass for tourist ones, and all is well (boyfriend is more willing).

I've felt quite out of the loop with blogging recently- I seem constantly to be falling in and out of love with it. I've got no qualms stepping away for a bit though, not posting, not commenting, reading, not reading. I've also gone and got myself a new job which was quite unexpected. I'm already nervous and jittery about it (more responsibility, more pressure). Anywho, #yayme.

  2. Congratulations on your new job! And all the best with it :)
It's sometimes nice to take a step back from the 'blogging world'. Sometimes we need time away from something to realise how much we actually love it?

  10. Such a good idea! It really is true, mistaken for a typical tourist! <3
I feel the same way about blogging too. I think revamping things helped me, and it is still in the process, so it feels a little like a project which is good. It motivates my little brain!!

Congratulations on the new job lovely, what is it that you will be doing?
    Sometimes, change is good.

  14. Haha, I might have to use the idea of taking outfit shots in a tourist-y location! I never thought of them actually being mistaken for tourist shots before. You look lovely, that camel cute is beautiful. Good luck with your new job, I've got an interview tomorrow :S

  21. I go through periods of feeling the exact same way with blogging. Sometimes life is just too busy to hop on the computer :-) You look so classic and chic here. I can't believe you found that gorgeous coat at a charity shop! What a perfect opportunity to snap some photos too...it's always so awkward in front of people otherwise. Happy weekend Rachel! xo Marisa

  26. Well done on the new job and how rare to see Regent St without any traffic! I would have leapt at the chance too. I know what you mean about end of your street/London scenario - it's weird isn't it?
