Furry jacket: H&M//Blouse: Asos//Cigarette pants: Topshop//Brogues: vintage//Hat: H&M

I think you can tell from these photos that they weren't taken yesterday. In fact they date back to the heady days of September. Now I love these brogues, I really do. I found them in BS8 in Bristol several years ago and after rubbing slightly for a day or two they fit like the proverbial glove, as if they were made for me. Unfortunately the sole is ridiculously slippery which is why I don't wear them as often as I'd like- and this particular day I ended up slipping down a flight of stairs at a party (luckily only my boyfriend saw this) which produced two almighty bruises. Back into the wardrobe they go..

  1. You look fab!! Love the top and shoes :) Shame they are slippy, I wonder if there is something you can put on them to stop them from being slippy, like tape or something. This would happen to me slipping all over the place, but my luck people would see. Bless.x

  6. Gorgeous! Would it be worth getting your shoes resoled to make them less slippy?

  9. You should get something sharp and scratch the bottom of the shoes or some wire wool? Did that with my slippery shoes and they are great now x

  12. You look beautiful! I love your cigarette pants - I like seeing black trousers worn outside of work, there's something so refreshing about it. Perhaps you could have your brogues resoled? :) xxx

  20. Oh no such a bummer about the slipping down the stairs, that is not cool at all. I'm really enjoying this outfit and it reminds me this sick winter weather won't last forever! xx

  22. I have just started to wear trousers after being in skirts/dresses all my adult life. I only have one pair at the moment as I get use to wearing them but I do like the style of yours and am tempted to buy a similar pair.

  23. Those brogues are lovely, shame they have slippy soles! I wonder if there's a way to grit them up a bit to make them less slippy... hmmm! Those trousers suit you a dream too

Thanks for your comment too, thankfully the flu has buggered off now! xx
