The Milk Maid

Smock: The White Pepper//Bag, Hat, (old) Boots: Topshop

So I finally caved and bought myself a White Pepper smock dress- D said I looked like I was going to go and milk some cows.. anyway it's nice and roomy. Eagle eyed readers may notice my hair is lighter than in the previous post, but shorter than two posts back. That's what happens when you don't post photos chronologically.

I still don't feel in the least Christmassy, despite helping at my charity's carol service in St Martin in the Fields last week, and doing so tonight at The Tower, and singing carols on the roof in half an hour (weird tradition if you ask me). Bah humbug.

  4. I still can't decide on the Whitepepper stuff, I'm just not convinced that I can pull of the smock look, at all. I don't feel Christmassy yet, either, despite spending a whole weekend with the Guides for a Christmas themed weekend away.

  10. This gingham dress is adorable on you. I love the hat you paired with it too. I may need to find a smock dress for spring/summer after seeing so many people rock them in such cute ways.

  11. It's weird but I'm not feeling all that Christmassy either yet! I'm travelling to Liverpool tomorrow afternoon to meet up with the boy for the weekend (spending Christmas apart with respective families, boo!) - I'm hoping being in town at this time of year with all the lights and Christmas gifts and shoppers will get me more in the festive spirit :) I hope you're feeling it now too!! I love your smock dress, I've looked at the smock dresses on The White Pepper so many times and been tempted. It looks wonderful on you, and not the least bit milk maidy in my opinion :) xxx

  12. Milking cows or not, you look gorgeous! I wish I could learn how to sew a smock dress - they look fairly simple to make (famous last words) and it would be great to have one in every colour - perhaps a project for the New Year?

I'm also not feeling too Christmassy - I think that's what happens when you work, it's only Christmas once you're finally on annual leave! Hope you have a fantastic, restful one and happy New Year!! xxx
